Carrot and Sword

Love them or hate them? Gordon Brown’s government never ceases to suprise. If it’s not losing millions of personal details in the post then it’s £billions spent propping up a failing bank. They try our collective patience with their party funding scandles but then they ARE trying to redeem themselves….
The path to electoral rehab has started with the announcement that lazy spongers will get kicked out of their schemie homes. If you are young, work-shy and living in scheme-ville beware. Gordon Brown is gunning for you. You had better get off your druggie ass and get some minimum wage. Otherwise it’s rehousing into the pish-soaked cardboard box under the overpass. Where you belong.
I love these Sword of Damocles policies. It’s really warm glow stuff. Watch it dangling over the work-shy. How about one for the the addicted? The gravid teenagers? The fat and ill? The poor and needy?
Can’t wait for the next installment of the New Labour ‘We’re more Tory than the Tories’ saga.

It is going to be nasty shock along with the next giro. How they managed to keep this in the dark, baffles me.
