Jade Goody has Cervical Cancer

Big Brother star Jade Goody had been diagnosed with cervical cancer. It’s bad news for the poor 27 year old and she has had to make a quick exit out of the Indian version of Big Brother to fly back to the UK to start treatment.
Max Clifford her publicist confirmed that it is not just an abnormal smear or a routine follow up. It is not know so far how extensive the disease is.
Earlier this month, Goody was admitted into hospital following a severe PV bleed and collapse. It sounds like she underwent colposcopy in the UK before she left for India and the histology results have just come through in the last couple of days. I would be surprised if she didn’t also have a CT or MRI of her pelvis and abdo.
All in all, it is not looking great for the star who courted controversy last year with Poppadom-gate. As most cases of early cervical cancer is asymptomatic, if her recent PV bleed is a result of the cancer, I think you’re looking at either a T2 or T3 tumour.
From the point of view of treatment, we’re talking about a total hysterectomy with nodal clearance. Following that chemo and radiotherapy would most definitely be considered depending on N staging and any metastatic spread.
This will certainly make the introduction of the HPV vaccine in 12-18 year old girls this September a bit more topical.

Thank god I’ve read an article that’s factual and is sympathetic towards poor Jade.
I thinks she’s been through hell and has tried to make amends, so I hope Jade will be okay.

As a doctor have you ever heard of someone getting that test done, then leaving the country to appear in a TV show, knowing the results will come in whilst you are there?
How low can she sink?

Hey, where’s your compassion and humanity? JG couldn’t let all her adoring Indian fans down just like that.
Her womb needs taken out first and she’ll need to go for some radium treatment after that. She will be back soon, and stronger, with the respect she is due from all her critics.

Shes totally full of shit, is fat and ugly and best off television. India hates the whore. None the less, she’s at her worst, still human. So get well soon Jade. And evolve from the primate that you are to a human being.
Just please please don’t come back to India. We’ll puke if you’re back. Hate ya for the rest of that you are. Stay home.
